It follows the journey of Czechoslovak pilots who flew biplanes to defend the sovereignty of the Czechoslovak Republic and describes the situation following the notorious Munich Agreement and the training and fighting abroad by the airmen. The film recalls how their stories continued following the occupation, first in the Polish defence war and then in France, where they helped fight the crucial Battle of Britain, in which the advance of German troops was stopped. However, even that victory did not mean the end of fighting for the heroic Czechoslovak airmen and others. The pilots, who initially flew with the British Royal Air Force and later with the Soviet Red Army in dozens of various types of aircraft in many positions and many different positions, contributed to the eventual final defeat of the Nazi Third Reich and helped restore freedom to their country, at least for a short time. As they made huge sacrifices and demonstrated great heroism, which only now has begun being fully appreciated, they also attempted to continue living normal lives. Historie československého vojenského letectví - díl prvníPart one of The History of Czechoslovak Military Aviation takes viewers through a period when flying was more like a dream than reality and through moments when this dream eventually became enough of a reality that it was able to be used as a weapon in the First World War. The documentary maps the course of the aviation industry in the newly formed Czechoslovak Republic, the creation and development of all important aviation factories, the creation and establishment of the Airmen Association and the history of military aviation. It covers the 1920s, when Czechoslovak pilots and aircraft began earning valuable successes at European air shows and describes the era of aerobatic flying and the preparations for war in the 1930s. The film also describes all of the important flying machines, people and decisions related to the period of initial experimentation with flying in the First World War and during the first republic of Czechoslovakia.

The downfall of the battleship ROMAThe tragic story of the pride of the Italian wartime navy - battleship class Vittorio Veneto with the proud name Roma. From the mouths of eyewitnesses you can hear recountsmore than 65 years old about the macabre end of this warship, which was considered to be one of the most elegant battleships of all time. Included among the witnesses for example is the daughter of the commander of the fleet Admiral Bergamini. The Roma was destroyed on the 9th of September 1943 by three accurate hits (the first guided missile attacks in the world) from light German bombers Dornier D 217. | Part two Only a few hours have passed since the attack on Pearl Harbour. The Philippines find themselves under pressure from Japan which would be further characterised as inhumane suffering of American and Philippine defence. Japan tries to extend its supremacy across the whole of Asia. The first counter attacks were made by American aircraft carriers which carried out several successfull operations which came to a head in April 1942. As a response the Japanese Admiral Yamamoto drew up an elaborate plan or how to wipe out the American fleet once and for all. The Japanese fleet was sent in the direction of the Aleut islands towards the small American base on the island of Midway. The battle of Midway which followed became a deciding conflict of the war in the Pacific.
